WBB on the Sports Spot (topic) Ariana Gnekow and Kelsey Adrian were on the Gaucho Sports Spot today on KCSB. Here's the half hour interview for download if you're interested. http://www.kcsb.org/sport...-wednesday-november-18th |

Re: We Lose, 59-43 (reply) Yep, I hear ya. Sadly, I will be working. Very odd timing indeed. I would have liked to go to that game |

RE:Post players and Kentucky game tip-off (reply) What's up with a noon tip-off mid week like that? Even though the following day is Thanksgiving a lot of us still have to work on a Wednesday. Very disappointing. |

Post players and Kentucky game tip-off (reply) It all depends on how Kritscher comes along. Is she another Goble who had very little basketball background when she came here, being a good VB player? Kritscher didn't exactly light things up in HS either. In the little I've seen of her it seems she has ... |

On the other hand - (reply) If we lose four, and have signed two, that means we probably have a couple more scholarships to give. I would not be surprised to see more signings - or transferees. |

Frontcourt/Post Players (reply) While I don't disagree that it would have been nice to sign a solid post player, I do think the guards that did sign look extremely promising. And, I'm not sure I agree that there won't be any depth up front. Valentine looks like the real deal, and ... |

Re: We Lose, 59-43 (reply) I'm disappointed that they didn't recruit at least one solid post player. Next year, we lose Franey, Spencer, Williams and Goble. There won't be any depth in the front court unless they grab a JC player. |

Great Recruits From Great Programs (reply) I think we should start looking for post players now. Bob |

Re: We Lose, 59-43 (reply) The radio guys really liked Sweets' effort in the first half. There's a lot to work on, but getting healthy would seem #1! Don't forget "talking Gauchos" tonight @ 6 from State & A. Coach G & Sweets will be there. It'll be on 1490. By the way, I ... |

More (reply) Mekia Valentine's seven blocks is second all-time for a single game in Gaucho history. Emilie Johnson had seven steals - good for #9 all-time in a single game. However, we had only two more; Nevada had 14 as a team. We did out-rebound Nevada 42-40, ... |

Probably one to forget - (reply) On the radio they said, that maybe the teams legs were tired and theirs shots were short? |

Probably one to forget - (reply) At least for the fans, but I'll bet the coaches and players don't forget it. Mekia Valentine got 14 points, and 7 blocks, in spite of the stitches in her right hand. We shot 26% and had 27 turnovers. The ideal is over 40% shooting, and under 15 in ... |

We Lose, 59-43 (topic) It was at least twice as bad as the FSC game. And, along with FSC losing to USC Sunday, it further dampens our early season. From listening to it on a very faint signal from 990, I must say there were no good efforts let alone good performances, except ... |

Re: Lose to Fresno St., 84-76 (reply) I think we have enough depth with Spencer and Margaret Johnson healthy and Bree looks like a quick learner and is athletic. If we get no more injuries we'll be just fine. Injury-free robably won't happen though. |

Re: Lose to Frensno St., 84-76 (reply) Mekia has a lot of heart as does Jordan and the season down the road looks good...we just need more time together on the floor. Meagan was good too and I think this team will come together just fine. What we do need is depth. |

Re: Lose to Fresno St., 84-76 (reply) FSU put the clamp on Emille in the second half. I was sitting under our basket and could see three defenders intently following her upcourt in sort of a floating zone. They didn't let her get off that lob pass much. Should have been somebody open. They ... |

Re: Fresno State & LaShay Fears (reply) A friend of mine is the one who printed all the media guides before much it as in barter so cost was not as high as quoted but it is significant.
