And, we used to be quite successful at getting large groups of junior high students and younger from as far away as Santa Maria and Lompoc to come down by the busload to our games. But with school budgets today it would not be likely unless some of this grant money was used. And it certainly is a long range investment and not a quick fix.

That's great, but it'll be interesting to see if our marketing dept. can think of something new to get attendance up. So many things have been tried, and failed, especially re: getting the UCSB students to come, even though they get in FREE.

And as much as I love-love-love the women's game, this seems like an odd thing to spend money on, considering the economic challenge all colleges are facing right now.

Nice. Definitely helps, since there is no pay to schools with regards to NCAA Tourney appearances (would like to see that in the future as well).

Also nice to see two BW schools getting the Grants.
